Custom Bottoms
Manufacturer
Yizhe Studio develops and produces custom sweatpants, joggers, shorts, and casual pants for clothing brands worldwide. We work from your tech pack, reference images, sketches, or physical samples to build bottoms that match your brand's fit, fabric, and finish requirements.
Every project is assessed individually. We confirm construction details, fabric specifications, and workmanship requirements during sample development before moving to bulk production.

-- Product Categories
Three bottoms categories,
one development process.
Whether you're developing sweatpants for a streetwear drop, shorts for an activewear line, or relaxed casual pants for an everyday collection, we manage the full process from sample through bulk.
Sweatpants & Joggers
Relaxed sweatpants, tapered joggers, and matching set bottoms in heavyweight fleece, French terry, and brushed fabrics. Elastic or ribbed waistbands, drawstring options, and open or ribbed hem finishes.
Shorts
Sweat shorts, athletic shorts, and casual shorts for streetwear and casualwear brands. Elastic waistbands, drawstring options, and varied inseam lengths in cotton fleece, French terry, and woven constructions.
Casual Pants
Relaxed-fit pants and straight-leg trousers for everyday and lifestyle collections. Elastic or drawstring waistbands, side and back pockets, and woven or knit fabric options.
-- Construction Details
Waistbands, pockets,
hems & silhouettes.
The right construction depends on the product's intended use, fabric choice, and the silhouette your brand is building. We review and confirm all structural details during sample development -- not after bulk production begins.
Waistband
Waistband construction is selected based on the product type and target fit. Options assessed during development include:
- Elastic waistband with internal casing
- Ribbed knit waistband
- Wide waistband with logo embroidery
- Flat front woven waistband
Drawstrings
Drawstring placement and material are confirmed according to the waistband style and brand requirements:
- Internal drawstring (concealed)
- External drawstring with eyelets
- Flat or round cord construction
- Branded or custom-dyed drawstrings
Pockets
Pocket placement, structure, and finishing are assessed based on the garment's silhouette and intended use:
- Side seam pockets
- Patch back pockets
- Zip pockets (side or back)
- Kangaroo-style front pockets
Hems & Cuffs
Hem and cuff construction defines the overall silhouette and should be confirmed alongside fabric and fit:
- Open hem (clean or raw finish)
- Elasticated hem
- Ribbed cuffs (jogger style)
- Tapered or straight-cut finish
Silhouettes
Fit and silhouette are developed from your size specifications and reference samples. Common directions include:
- Straight-leg
- Relaxed / wide-leg
- Tapered / slim-leg
- Cropped length
Confirmed Before Bulk
All construction decisions -- waistband, drawstring, pockets, hem, and silhouette -- are reviewed and locked in during sample development. Bulk production only begins once the approved sample and full specification sheet are confirmed.
-- Fabric, Fit & Technique
The right fabric and
finish for your brand.
Fabric weight, hand-feel, and construction method all affect how a bottom performs and how it fits. We help you identify the right combination during sample development -- and test it before committing to bulk.
Fabric Options
Cotton Fleece & French Terry
Heavyweight and mid-weight cotton knit constructions suited to sweatpants, joggers, and sweat shorts. Weight and composition confirmed per project.
Cotton Jersey & Interlock
Single jersey and interlock knit constructions for lightweight shorts, casual pants, and active bottoms. Soft hand-feel with good stretch recovery, available in various weights and cotton blends.
Cotton Twill & Stretch Wovens
Cotton twill, ripstop, and stretch-woven constructions for casual pants and shorts requiring structured drape, durability, and a clean finish. Stretch compositions available for improved mobility.
Mesh & Performance Knits
Lightweight mesh and stretch knit fabrics for athletic shorts and active-use bottoms. Liner options available depending on construction requirements.
Brand Techniques
Custom branding techniques are assessed based on the fabric, construction, and artwork. The following can be developed for bottoms:
Tested & Confirmed in Sample Stage
Fabric, fit, and technique combinations are tested during sample development. We do not assume a design can go directly to bulk without a confirmed and approved sample -- this protects both the quality of your product and the efficiency of production.
-- Matching Set Development
Develop bottoms as
part of a complete set.
Sweatpants, joggers, and shorts can be developed alongside hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, T-shirts, or jackets as a unified collection. Fabric, colour, fit proportions, logo placement, label design, and packaging are all aligned across the set.
Developing tops and bottoms together allows us to confirm fabric consistency, colour matching, and branding execution as a single coordinated project -- reducing the risk of mismatched components when items are sold or worn as sets.
