-- Closures & Cord Hardware

Zippers, Drawcords,
Eyelets & Cord Ends.

These components are central to how hoodies, jackets, trousers, shorts, and athletic sets function and feel. Each selection is confirmed to match the garment structure, construction method, and overall style direction.

Metal, nylon and plastic zippers for clothing

Zippers

Metal, nylon, and plastic zippers suited to different garment weights and construction types. Zipper tape color, teeth color, and puller style are all confirmed as part of the development process.

  • Metal zippers
  • Nylon coil zippers
  • Plastic zippers
  • Custom zipper pullers
Drawcords used for hoodies, shorts and sweatpants

Drawcords

Cotton and polyester drawcords in flat or round profiles. Thickness and material are matched to the channel construction and the overall feel of the garment.

  • Cotton drawcords
  • Polyester drawcords
  • Flat and round profiles
  • Custom color matching
Eyelets and cord ends used on custom garments

Eyelets & Cord Ends

Metal or coated eyelets for drawcord channels, combined with metal, plastic, or silicone cord ends. Finish and plating are confirmed to align with the hardware direction of the garment.

  • Metal & coated eyelets
  • Metal cord ends
  • Plastic cord ends
  • Silicone cord ends

Application Context

Matched to garment structure and style.

Zippers, drawcords, eyelets, and cord ends are selected in relation to the garment type, fabric weight, and construction method. A hoodie, a zip-up jacket, and a pair of cargo shorts each have different functional and visual requirements -- trim selection is part of the development process, not an afterthought.

Trousers & Shorts

Athletic Sets

-- Structure & Finish Components

Buttons, Rivets,
Rib & Elastic.

These components contribute to both the structural integrity and the finished appearance of a garment. Rib and elastic selections in particular are confirmed in relation to the main fabric and the pattern, since their stretch and recovery directly affect fit and silhouette.

Buttons, snap fasteners and rivets on clothing

Buttons & Rivets

Buttons and rivets are selected based on the garment type, fabric weight, and the intended functional or decorative role. Material, finish, and size are confirmed as part of the sample development process.

  • Metal buttons
  • Plastic buttons
  • Resin buttons
  • Snap buttons
  • Denim rivets
  • Decorative rivets
Ribbed trims and elastic bands used in clothing

Rib & Elastic

Rib fabric is used for collars, cuffs, and waistbands. Elastic bands are used in waistbands and hem channels. Color, thickness, composition, stretch level, and recovery are confirmed in relation to the main fabric and the pattern before bulk production.

  • Rib collars
  • Rib cuffs
  • Rib waistbands
  • Elastic waistbands
  • Varied widths
  • Varied stretch levels

A note on rib and elastic selection

Rib fabric and elastic bands are not interchangeable across garment types. The right combination of composition, weight, and stretch recovery depends on the main fabric, the garment construction, and how the finished product should fit and move. These details are reviewed and confirmed during the sample development stage, not assumed from a general specification.

-- What Can Be Confirmed

Material, Color, Size
& Logo Customization.

Each trim and accessory involves a set of specifications that are confirmed during development. The options below reflect what can typically be reviewed and agreed upon as part of a custom production project with Yizhe Studio.

Material & Finish

The base material and surface finish of each trim component are confirmed to align with the garment's overall quality standard and intended use.

  • Metal, plastic, nylon, resin, silicone
  • Matte, polished, brushed, coated
  • Cotton, polyester, blended compositions

Color & Plating

Color references can be provided via fabric swatches, physical samples, or Pantone codes. Hardware plating options -- such as gunmetal, antique brass, or black nickel -- are confirmed during development.

  • Matched to fabric or color reference
  • Pantone reference accepted
  • Hardware plating options available

Zipper Tape & Teeth

For nylon and plastic zippers, tape color and teeth color can be specified separately -- enabling tonal, contrasting, or fully branded zipper treatments.

Tape color Teeth color Tonal or contrast

Size & Construction

Zipper length, drawcord diameter, elastic width, and rib dimensions are all specified according to the garment pattern and construction requirements.

  • Zipper length and gauge
  • Drawcord thickness
  • Elastic and rib width

Rib Composition & Stretch

Rib fabric fiber composition and stretch/recovery properties are confirmed in relation to the main fabric and the garment's intended fit.

Fiber composition Stretch level Recovery & weight

Logo & Branding

Brand logos or marks can be applied to zipper pullers, cord ends, buttons, and rivets through engraving, debossing, embossing, or printing, depending on the material and component type.

  • Engraving
  • Debossing & embossing
  • Printing (where applicable)

Detail Specifications at a Glance

Zipper Tape

Specify tape color independently from teeth -- tonal or contrasting treatments both supported.

Zipper Teeth

Teeth color confirmed separately for nylon and plastic zippers; metal teeth plating also available.

Rib Composition

Cotton, polyester, or blended rib compositions selected to complement the main fabric and fit intent.

Rib Stretch & Recovery

Stretch level and recovery properties confirmed against the garment's construction and size spec.

Color Matching Note

Color references guide the selection process.

Fabric swatches, physical color samples, or Pantone references are all useful starting points for aligning trim colors with the rest of the garment. Exact color matching cannot be guaranteed across all materials and production conditions, but references are used throughout the development process to keep colors as consistent as the material allows.
